Sara Gray

I'm Sara Gray, a travel writer and photographer from the Pacific Northwest. I also consider myself a traveler, an Internet addict, a perpetual student, a dessert aficionado and a voracious reader.

In addition to five years working on daily and weekly newspapers in Washington state, I have written for a handful of national and regional magazines, and some great Web sites, where I get to work with great editors to get some pretty cool stories out there. I am now a full-time freelancer who's kissed my newspaper days goodbye to head into the dark abyss of self-employment.

On the photography side, in addition to my newspaper photojournalism experience, I sometimes shoot photos to accompany my articles. I also shoot weddings (which I love!), portraits, still life and any other style of photography I want to experiment with. I believe the best way to be a great photographer is to practice every day, so that's what I do.
